Jeremy Loops’ tide’s pulling us in [Athousandguitars.com]

I remember when I first saw Jeremy Loops. He performed with his “band” (a collection of guest musicians, each featuring for a song or two) at Sowing the Seeds JHB in 2012, and I was pretty impressed. He uses a loop pedal to create loops of his guitar, vocals, other instruments, beat-boxing and other sounds, constructing songs live while you watch.

Review: No Chocolate Before Dinner [samusicscene.co.za]

No Chocolate Before Dinner is the debut EP by a band called No Chocolate Before Dinner. And they keep throwing the word “chunk” around. Is it supposed to be their genre? A portmanteau of “chocolate” and “punk”? As soon as the first song starts it’s clear that there’s quite a bit of punk in the mix.
